There is no wash we’ve broken in for you better than Faded Indigo. A medium indigo with a worn in feel, Faded Indigo is washed to be super soft yet still tough. It has light abrasion at the pockets, hips and back of the knees to give it character and is part of our signature core line of denim. The Automatic Jean is our athletic straight fit. It has a straight leg like our Sharp, but is a little more relaxed; there’s extra room in the hips and thighs and a 15 1/2" leg opening, great for athletic bodies and guys with thighs. "These are comfortable, mid-weight jeans. The styling is pretty conservative, there's really nothing identifiable on them unless you read the tag. They're loose fitting, if that's the fit you're looking for. The only slight knock is that they run long. I ordered 32 length and they're about 1" too long compared to all of my other pants."

"The sizing and fit was a bit more loose and longer than the same size Automatic jeans I buy (36x34), even after several washings and drying in high heat. I like the color and they still fit, but the same fit is like wearing a pair of jeans after you’ve lost weight."

Q: I want to verify the automated tailor suggestion on your website. I wear a 36x34 Carhart and your tailor said my size would be 33x32. Is that accurate for both waist and inseam? Hi Roger, I think in this case I would stick to the size you normally purchase. My husband who is 6'1" wears a 32" inseam in this style, and based on your height and since you normally wear 34, I would stick with that. Our fit is considered a bit relaxed, but not baggy. Do you have leg opening areas larger that 15.5" around? My patella is that circumference and after a quick rough measurement my thigh is just over 27" around in the middle. I am normally a 32 waist 32 length but it's extremely difficult to find jeans that are the right size for me on my legs, thanks.

Do these jeans shrink when washed? I have sized down from my normal size after exchange and they are still way too big. Normally a 36 fits just right but even with the 34 these are huge on me
